Volunteer with Furkids

Furkids is a no-kill organization run mainly by volunteers. We are always excited to meet new people who are able to help in any way possible! You can volunteer with Furkids in many ways:

  • Grant Research
  • PetSmart Cleaning & Socializing (Perimeter, Smyrna & Midtown- Now Northlake!)
  • Photographer of cats
  • Adoption Team
  • PetSmart Adoptions Centers (Perimeter, Smyrna & Midtown- Now Northlake!)
  • Shelter Volunteer
  • Phone & Email Task Force
  • Public Events
  • Fundraising
  • Foster Homes
  • Cat Transporter (to and from vet, from animal control, etc)

Currently, our greatest need is for volunteers at our cage-free, no-kill cat shelter in Atlanta, Ga which houses the majority of our rescue cats. Volunteering at the shelter involves cleaning cat cages, washing bedding, providing food, water (and medications in some instances), and socializing with the cats! Volunteering with Furkids is a rewarding experience; give the gift of time to Furkids' homeless cats and become a shelter volunteer!

No matter how you decide to volunteer, Furkids needs the support of generous and caring people to donate their time, in order for us to continue our rescue efforts. For more information on becoming a volunteer, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@furkids.org, call 770-613-0009, or complete the on-line application below.
