Koko is a stunning purebred Tonkinese. She was abandoned at the vets office when her previous owner found out she had diabetes. We consider Koko to be a permanent foster cat, and we are commited to providing her with the care she needs no matter how long, yet the expenses incurred treating her are extremely costly. In fact, her care averages upwards of $1500.00 per year!
Can you help Furkids to offset the cost of Koko's care and continue to rescue other homeless animals in need?
Cranberry, a precious tortie cat, is in the beginning stage of renal failure caused by polycystic kidney disease. She is on daily fluid therapy and our goal is to provide her with supportive care. There is no cure for polycystic kidney disease.
Sushi & Bonkers & Cheese all have arthritis and need cosquin daily to help them manage their pain. Cosequin is a prescription drug and you can help us help them by making a donation to offsett the cost of their daily medications.
Roxanne has dermatitus which is a result of years of neglect in the hands of a former owner. She requires a special diet and medications to keep the condition under control.
Bernice is a 12-14 week old kitten who is semi-feral. She has "mega colon" which prevents her from being able to process
food from her stomach to her colon. She is currently on a special diet and pancreatic medications to see if this will help her condition.
This is a congenital birth defect an we are waiting to see how she responds to treatment before we
will know whether or not surgery is an option.
Katherine Hepburn is a 3 year old cat rescued from a neighborhood. She
suffers from neurological damage and her head bobbs around like Katherine Hepburn. She will need the help
of a specialist to determine
the cause of her disorder.
Libretto came to Furkids at the age of 3 weeks with her brothers after their
mother was killed by a car. She has battled Pneumonia and Joint Sepsis.
Where her doctors with both disease did not think she would pull through,
but our little "Peanut" had the fire to live. Sadly, we believe she has subs
anted permanent damage from the Joint Sepsis called Polyarthritis. Her hips
are set very wide apart with a strong limp when she walks, as well as her
toes on the right foot have turned up, as you can see in this picture. As
the colder months have set in, it has impacted her mobility and has caused
more pain that is being treated with pain medication and spend much time on
a heating pad.
Please consider making a donation towards further diagnostic testing
(x-rays)and treatment with an orthopedic specialist.. This will help us with
her long term care. She is a wonderful little girl with so much more life
and love to give.
"Peanut", Furkids and her foster mommy thank you for your kindness to help
with her care!
