Sam Here is a recent shot of the boys! - They are so compatible and love each other so much - you were RIGHT! 3 cats is better, I wouldn't trade them for the world. Thanks so much for all that you do for the animals! Duck, Dori Foxie, Harley & Pookie

Hi Melissa, Thanks so much for everything. Leo is the most awesome kitty ever. He's taken to use quite quickly and has certainly made himself at home. He's used his litter box extensively, has been eating and drinking well, and love attention and play time. It's too cool to see him relaxing in one of his two favorite chairs, either out in the sunroom, or in the living room while we're in there watching TV or reading a book. We're going to contact the foster parent in a few days as well to express our gratitude. There's no shortage of happy and cuteness since he's come into our home. Thanks again for your help, --Thomas

Hi FurKids. I thought I would send a photo of my cats that I adopted from FurKids. As you can see they are spoiled rotten, lounging on my satin sheets... Many thanks, I will recommend your services to anyone who asks. --Nate

Salt and Pepper who are now Spunky and Panda are doing just great. They are wonderful cats (the boys). They have very different personalities. Spunky (kinks in his tail) is living up to his name. He loves his toys especially the small furry mice and the feathers on a stick. He spends a lot of his time hunting his toy mice. Panda chimes in often but is more dignified and watches the antics patiently. Panda prefers hair ribbons that my granddaughters have left for him to play with. Speaking of which the girls who are 6, 8 and 12 adore the boys. Spunky hides when he has had enough of them but Panda adores being carried around like a baby and being carried around in his carrier on imaginary trips. He can't seem to get enough of the girls and runs after them when the leave. Speaking of the door, they are learning not to dash for the door. They have also learned the words get down as it relates to the kitch en counter without water squirting. I know they get up there when I am gone but that is the way of felines. They also know the word fishies because the first thing I do in the a.m. is divide a can of Fancy Feast between them so I can pick up my newspaper without them trying to get out the door. Of course, this is in addition to their dry food. They are full of fun and mischief and we are a perfect match. They also love looking out my large windows that overlook a river. I am not sure what they are watching but the sparkles in the water and bird activity are probably hight on the list. Speaking of water, I put one of the self filling bowls in my office for them. Panda used his big feet to scoop the water out so they could listen to the bubbling sound of the bowl filling and naturally it kept filling. By the time I realized what they were doing, there was at least a half a gallon of water on the floor. Fortu nately, we live in a loft with polished concrete floors so bath towels mopped it up. Panda just looked at me as if to say, " And so." I need to get my camera charged up and installed on my computer again and when I stop procrastinating on that I will send pictures. I think they have both grown. Thank you very much for my wonderful boys. They are so affectionate and are a constant source of love and entertainment. --Arlene H.
Dear Carol, Kayla, Melissa, and everybody else, We watched "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" last night, a very funny send-up of music biopics. Afterwards we looked at our new kitty with new eyes. He walks hard. He's a survivor. He's a lover. He's funny. So we said "Dewey?" He said "What?" So we said it again and he answered the same. The third time we tried his name, he was busy with something else. Short attention span strikes again. But we think the formerly named "Maurice" is actually Dewey Cox. His sister Annie Ruth adores him, as befitting a rock star. --Daphna
Hello All, My husband Eric and I adopted a kitten you had named 'Lance'. He's deaf, but he interacts with us and with our other cats just as well as any of them. He has always enjoyed prancing on the piano keys (he probably likes the vibrations), so we've renamed him 'Beethoven' (who was also profoundly deaf). He's absolutely adorable! He 'talks' constantly, especially when he's hungry or wants attention. We wish we were able to have more cats, but that's impossible right now. I've attached a picture of 'Beethoven at Work' for you to enjoy. --Judith B.
I adopted Sue Ellen last week and want to tell you she is just exactly right! My other cat likes her and she is a delight. She can open cupboards and drawers, and I had to fish her out when she got closed in. She seems to have done her exploring so that hasn't happened for a couple of days! She is very vocal and after being in the shelter for so long loves to sit in front of my windows and watch the squirrels and birds. So glad I found her at the last minute. Super nice girl. --Judy H.
Hi, We adopted Olivia from the Midtown Petsmart about a month ago, and I am thrilled to say that she is doing wonderfully! She is actually sitting on my laptop as I type this (how helpful). She is such a sweet, fun, and well-adjusted cat, and she is giving her "brother" a run for his money! From the minute we brought her home she was affectionate and comfortable with us. We kept her separate from our existing cat for a week, but she would stick her entire leg under the door wanting to be friends with him. She has made herself at home, and we are so happy that she decided to adopt us! Thank you so much for all of your help in uniting us with the newest member of our family! --Kathleen S.
Kika (fka Merwin) has 4 brothers and 1 sister in his new home. Yes - 6 cats! Thank goodness we have a big house. When they run through the house, it sounds like a stampede. How can something so small and fluffy make sooooo much noise? He's become a BIG boy though. 2 lbs. too big according to the vet but he still has a lot of kitten in him. He loves to play sports. Food is much better if you play soccer with it first! He's VERY competitive and likes to aggravate his sister, Cali. Here's the rest of my family - Einstein, Cali, Sampson, Ohana and Blacky.

Scott and I would like to thank Furkids for giving us 2 great additions to our family: Prince, now Jack, and General, now Sam. They definitely rule the roost and have made themselves at home. They have also captured the hearts of our neighbors who watch them in the windows and their grandparents who spoil them rotten. Jack and Sam love to play with their mice and Jack especially enjoys chasing the laser pointer. We just wanted to share their progress. Thanks! Janis and Scott

Just wanted to give you guys the first weekend update on little Cherie. She settled in quickly and everybody thinks she's adorable. The dog and her met a little ahead of my schedule, on Sat (day 2) and we had no problems at all. The've been happily sniffing each other since. My roommate is fluent in French and we've added to her name, she is now Cherie la tortue tordue (the twisted turtle)! I'll send pictures soon. Thanks to everybody, specifically Melissa, for helping me add to my family!!

Hey Robyn, Good to hear from you. Coal is doing great. She loves to play and it only took 2 days for her and my other cat to become friends. She only really argues with me about two things - she insists I do not feed her enough, and trying to clip her nails is a battle. I've attached some pictures. Thanks again - you did a great job fostering her.

Melissa, Thank you for all your help with our new kitties. The 2 sisters were excited to be together again. They look like they just took up where they left off. We have named them Isabella (the fluffy one) and Jenny is her black sister (names still seem to be up for negotiations). I'll send you pictures as soon as they sit still long enough. Thanks again, Heather

Hi Sam, Even if you don't get to put this in the presentation, you can see how cute Molly is! She is posing here with my very first crochet project. She wouldn't be here without all the hard work and countless hours you have put in to make the shelter what it is! Actually, this reminds me that I was going to knit or crochet some cat toys for the shelter. I know we go through them quickly, since many of them land in the litter boxes at PetSmart :) If I don't need to buy a ticket for the event, I will just put in a donation. Thanks -Hali

We adopted Tipsy (on the right, aka Roy) from Furkids two weeks ago. He has been a wonderful additon to our family. He is now very happy with his new brother, Ed (on the left) and very tolerant of his new humans playing dress up! He was shy for the first few days, and he and Ed had to negotiate a truce, but since the truce it has been pure love. They play and groom all day. Their favorite game is mid-air attack, where they run at each other and collide and fall down wrestling, the do this endlessly. Tipsy is just as his foster mother descirbed and is a love bug who purrs and loves to be scratched when he's stretched out at your side. He keeps me company when I have to work at my at-home office. We couldn't be happier and we are grateful to all the wonderful people at Furkids whose kind work with cats such as Tipsy made this possible. Here is hoping to many wonderful years with our new friend!

Here is an update on Salt and Pepper who are now Panda and Spunky. Spunky is the smaller one with the kinks in his tail. A little guy like that has to be Spunky. They are making a fabulous adjustment. They are so affectionate and playful. The purring and canoodling is ongoing. They only take a break to nap, eat or play with their toys. The feather ones are their favorites. They are eating, using the litter box and scratching box. They each sat in my lap and let me trim their nails. They have really taken to me and all the babying. We are a perfect match. I will have to buy them their own nesting bed if I am going to get any sleep. Every time I roll over I have to pet, scratch and snuggle. Tomorrow I go back to PetSmart. Thank you for helping this to happen.

I just wanted to send an update on Samson & Delilah. They are doing great and since Spring is on the way have increased the play time as you can see :) Samson is the biggest cat I've ever had, amazingly after such a puny start! He is the absolute sweetest and is very spoiled. He's got quite the personality and his routines are hysterical.... He's figured out that if he wants to be pet all he has to do is get in position and will drape his front legs over my shoulder from the vanity as I get ready each morning.. Makes putting makeup on interesting :) Delilah is the hunter and as we see/ hear more birds through the screened windows I think its lucky for the birds that she is an indoor cat :) She also has some unique tendencies... Mainly stealing socks from my closet and carrying them about the house. She is just as loving but very much my cat.. She's not too keen on anyone else petting her really but she loves belly rubs and can be just as sweet as "orange" as we affectionately call him. I hope things are going well and just wanted to let you know that they doing great! Trish

Well, Emma has been with us two weeks now and is loving, sweet, and playful. I've attached both a "portrait" picture and a "rub my tummy" pose (she can stay this way for an hour or longer...at least until my hand gets numb)! She has definitely gotten used to the house and has been a wonderful companion. Thank you and FurKids for making Emma available and a part of our family. Mark

Hi, Melissa, I've had Cobb & Sierra Mist one month now, and I just wanted to let you know how great they are! I have re-named Cobb; his new name is Zanzibar . Considering what a little fireball he is, maybe it should be "Banzai." I've dropped the "Mist" from Sierra's name; she doesn't mind. She is very quiet and self-contained. I've only heard her voice once. She is very dainty and cautious, but holds her own quite well against her little "brother's" antics. Zanzi is all boy; he's never happier than when he's zipping around the house, chasing his sister, wrestling with her, and shoving all his floor toys under the stove. He is my little love: his favorite place to sleep is in my arms. Not curled up in a furry bundle; this little boy stretches full length, with a smile on his face. He will nudge his head against my chest for extra attention. I want you, Kyla, and all the Furkids volunteers to know what a wonderful addition to my life these 2 kittens are. Even though it's only been 1 month, I can't imagine how I made it the last 3 years without kitty-love. Thanks for all you do on their behalf. -- Janet, Sierra, and Zanzibar McDonald

Just wanted to say Telly and Dawn are loving their new home. And we're enjoying them just as much. They're bundles of energy and enjoy alternating naps with chasing, wrestling, and toy wrangling. So far we've gone through 2 crinkle balls, six rattle mice and 4 fluffy balls. Telly really like to tear them to bits. Dawn's favorite is the laser pointer--she's fast as lightning! Thanks so much for your dedicated volunteers and letting us become a family! -Katie, David, Telly, and Dawn

Thanks for checking in on us! Things are going very well here! This cat is extremely curious and smart! She is opening cabinet doors and climbing up onto tall places and is into everything! She is soooooo cute! I think she may be younger than we think, because she really acts like a kitten! She is doing great with scratching posts, I even caught one of my other cats using the tall post! (smile) I gave her a reward for using it too!! We renamed her though. It didn't seem like she really knew her name, so we are calling her Elvee (L.V.) for Louis Vuitton. It is working out nicely, and I think she likes it too! Now she thinks she is a high priced cat! :o) The other cats are hissing a bit, but she doesn't care about anything, she is very bold. Thank you for all of your help! You were just great! --Kim

Hi Kyla, here's a photo of my kitty Esther and Angora -who I've named Nazarus. They are happy and play so well. Both sleep in the bed with me. Perfect family! Thanks so much.

We recently adopted Neil from one of your foster parents. After the trip back to South Georgia, we set Neil up with his safe haven and slowly introduced him to his housemates, Abby (grey tabby cat) and Shadow (large black mixed breed dog). It has been a week and it seems as if they are all becoming soul mates and playmates. Over the last weekend, the “kids” had total run of the house and what a great time they all had. Neil is so sweet natured and has taken to my husband’s lap as well as mine. Thank you so much for working with us to adopt Neil and add so much more joy to our lives. --Kathy C.
My name is Bonnie and I adopted Yvette and Antoinette a week ago last Saturday and I am writing to let you know that both of them are doing wonderful in their new home. They had been separated from each other for a while, therefore there were a few days of some hissing. They are more used to each other now and are getting along fine. Antoinette is such an extrovert and the best way to describe her is "zoom, zoom, zoom". Yvette is more of an introvert and somewhat of a couch tater. Both of them realize that they are home. Both of them love me and I love them. Both of them have me wrapped around their paws already. I am keeping them on their science diet dry food with some science diet canned food for indoor cats. They get very excited at meal times and usually sit next to each other and meow together. Both of them have very sweet voices and are very sweet girls. We also have lots of fun playing together. have changed their names: Yvette is now Sukari (the swahili word for sugar} and Antoinette is now Bahagia ( the Indonesian word for happiness). Their nicknames are Kari and Baha. We are a very happy family. I want to say thanks to everyone at furkids for taking such wonderful care of the cats. Alot of these cats have been through some real trauma and you all have loved them and taken such good care of them. Alot of people, myself included have wonderful cats because of you all. Thank You So Much! --Bonnie J. H.
Just wanted to let you know that we're really, really happy with the two cats we adopted, Faulkner and Cezanne. They're both doing very well and have completely acclimated to the house and kids. Thanks so much! --Dave

Here are the pictures of Vanilla, Smudge and Tigger, or should I say Tigger Tailswisher as he is getting to be known here (he has this habit of swishing his tail from side to side in lovely big sweeps while standing and surveying the scenery). They all seem to have settled down together very nicely now. As you know, for the first few days Tigger pretty much stayed in his carrier, and then started to come out and took over one of Smudge's favorite places, under one of the dressers in our room. Now he is quite comfortable roaming around the house. Smudge was very good about giving up "his spot" to Tigger, although I must admit Smudge tends to stay either on top of the bed, or burrow under the covers nowadays. One interesting thing about Tigger coming to join us, Smudge has started roaming around the house a lot more than he used to; it's good to see him around in more places more often than we were used to. As I said earlier, the picture of Smudge and Vanilla is about 18 months old, but I think it is still one of the best pictures I have of them together, and the one of Tigger is from last week. Hope you enjoy them. I've also copied Sam and Kyla on this email as you requested. --Cheers Gordon & Penny

Thanks for asking! Fern, now named Sugar is doing well. She is also known as my ‘Spice Girl’ because she has really livened up the place. She loves to play and chase her new brother Sam. He is very tolerant of her, because she is VERY frisky. He has lost quite a bit of weight since I brought her home. Sister Sara is not so happy about Sugar, and rebelled by refusing to use the litter pan. (Sugar liked to corner her in the laundry room) But she is adjusting better now that I added 3 more cat pans to my house, and only if I let the pans go too long without changing does she look for alternative ‘rest stops’. I was trying to get a good picture of Sugar to send, but I think this one may come across email a little fuzzy. Sugar has a new job…computer programming…she loves to knead the keyboard of my laptop and TWICE has changed my internet settings so that I could not surf the web without calling a friend for help. In her spare time, she tries to catch the fish in the aquarium. She scrapes at the glass and taps her claws to get their attention, but they seem to laugh at her. She is truly a loving cat and follows me everywhere. She is becoming part of the family, despite the little rifts between her and Sara. She is a handful, but very loving and affectionate. (A little psychotic, but we have learned to love her ‘spas attacks’. --Janet C.

Sunset is doing great and the baby is 4 months old and just in awe of her already!

The Kitties are doing great. Lazarus grew like crazy and is about 11 pounds now. Lyra is about 8 pounds. They made it through their surgeries fine and got to liking each other again after a couple of days. Lazarus is a lover and Lyra is a bit more shy – but coming around nicely even in the last week. The kids love them and get along just fine. Thanks for checking. I’ll see if I have any pics to send… --Miriam

{Petre} is doing well. He has adjusted to us and is much better than he was in the beginning. He is still a bit skidish from time to time and I don't think he will ever be a lap cat but he does sleep on the bed with us and gets along with the other cat. They have become good friends. We are now able to trim his claws ourselves where in the beginning we had to take him to the vet for that. All in all I would say is is happy in his new home and we love him as well. We do have some pictures which I will be happy to post to you as soon as I can locate the memory card. Have a happy new year! Regards, Sid

Hi Furkids, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Just wanted to thank you for the chance to adopt our furry little friends Caesar and Cleo, who used to be Sinbad and Poly/Polly. Aside from our older cat, who still thinks these new kids are beneath her dignity, the whole family adores the new kittens. Caesar is Mr. Mischief, but he also loves to be carried around and cuddled, so we forgive him anything. Cleo seems exotic and mysterious, but still tries to steal meatballs from the table. It's impossible to be exotic and mysterious when you're stealing a meatball. Here are some photos. Best to you in 2008! --Mary, Greg, Cassie and Nicky.

I can't believe that it has been almost a year since Leisl (in the cat tunnel) became part of my family. She is one great cat. I have enjoyed getting to know her personality. She is so affectionate, loves to be brushed, is quite vocal and loves playtime. She makes me laugh when she watches t.v., sitting her derriere right down in front of the screen. Leisl is such a great cat. She is so gentle. Never bites or scratches me and has never used her claws on the furniture. During a recent nail trim, the vet tech said that Leisl is a 'torbie'...a tabby and tortishell mix. I knew Leisl was special! Thank you, Kyla, for suggesting 3-year-old Leisl would be a good fit for my home where an alpha cat already reigned. I appreciate Kyla being such a great (and patient) resource...answering my many questions and concerns about integrating a new cat into my home. My alpha cat still is getting used to the idea of having another cat in the home, but I have seen some progress. I also want to thank Furkids' many volunteers and Leisl's foster parents who raised her from a kitten. Y'all did a fantastic job! I almost feel guilty because y'all did all the hard work and now I get to enjoy the great results. Furkids has my continued support. Thank you.

They are doing well! Everyone has adapted to each other. They all play together in the mornings and sleep together at night. We will try to put together an updated blog (no promises J) ongoing cause we have LOTS of pics. Here are some to get you started...

We were going to go with Peanut, Butter, and Jelly cause we thought it was funny and fitting, but instead we went with Greek god names which has a bit of a deeper/relative meaning to them. We will explain our thought process in the in the naming with our next update

White: (Peter) [Eros]

Black: (mopsy) [Aphrodite]

Calico: (oreo) [Athena]

We couldn't be happier with our new friends. We will continue to give support for this great organization!

--Justin English

We've been home for over an hour, and everyone is finding their spaces. Valentino found my last cat's favorite spot: the bottom shelf of the corner book case, so I put a blanket down there for him and he's purring away!

Black Magic hasn't left the couch since she discovered it.

Chloe will be a little slower to come around, but she will once I build them their own shelves this weekend. I also have next mon thru wed off for vacation, so I can spend more time with them, especially chloe. Once magic has a shelf and Chloe can get some couch time, she'll be much better. Right now, magic apparently rules the roost.

Thanks so much to Kurt and Sam, and everyone: I'm so happy to have kittys in the house again!

--Pamela Skaff

Beth, Kyla & Gail,

I wanted let you all to know how well Iddy is doing. First of all she is so well adapted into our family. She is now one of four! When we adopted her another kitty was also in need of our help. We took them both in and everything is just fine. Iddy is the boss of the house, keeping 2 mature ones in line, not to mention the other 3 kitties. We have two 12 year olds and now a four year old and Iddy... so far we all get along. Secondly, she just got a great report from the eye doc, Dr. Powell, she says Iddy is looking good and we are taking good care of her. We are so lucky she adopted us along with her sisters we can't wait to move into a bigger place so that we may help other kitties in need of a forever home.

Sarah & Jim, Iddy & Clack's forever parents -not to mention...Lucy & Sammy's parents

I chose Brody, and I am SO in love with him!! He is just beautiful, perfect and exactly what I have been looking for. I am SO very pleased!

--Nita

Sara, Kyla, and Vanessa:

I sent a note to Samantha, already, but wanted to quickly thank the three of you for all of your work in helping bring Ashburn into my life. I adopted him at the Northlake PetsMart on Friday of this past week. I set up my bedroom as his "safe room" for his first week at home. He quickly took to the room and me. He climbed out of the box and immediately began exploring and was soon rubbing against my leg looking for head scratches. He has been a constant source of enjoyment and affection from the time he arrived. He sleeps on the bed with me at night and, last night, curled up in my lap for 2.5 hours while I watched TV and a movie. When I rub his neck and his belly, he purrs so loudly that the rumble changes into a quirky high pitched trembling chirp sound... like a bird! He's a GREAT pal, and I'm grateful for your help in bringing us together.

--Mark Kent

Hi Furkids!

Just wanted to give you an update on Grayson and Priscila, brother and sister, that we adopted from you guys in September of 06. They are both such love bugs and we can’t get enough of them! We are so incredibly happy to have them in our family and couldn’t imagine life without them! We hope their mother, Miss Gray, was adopted as well, how is she doing? I have attached a few pictures of our two cuties for you all to enjoy, thanks so much and good luck to your wonderful organization!

Love,
Scott, Amanda, Grayson and Priscila Schrack

Oh, I almost forgot a few pictures of Sabre and Bengal in their new forever home. First one is with my oldest daughter Taylor and my Dad (he's not a cat person but Sabre isn't deterred). Other two are them playing with their new electronic mouse toy.

Just wanted to share an updated picture of Baloo.. He is now 1 year and 2 months old!! We adopted him in December 2005.

SWEET DOGGY!! LOVE HIM TO DEATH!!

Vanessa Kelley

Hey Thea,

The girls are doing fine. They are great and are very happy in their new home. They are always playing with each other and looking out for their new mom. I wanted to share a remarkable story with you that just happened to me yesterday.

The girls saved my home and life yesterday night. I was going to sleep yesterday and for some reason the girls were acting weird. They normally would sleep with me but not yesterday. They were running around the house like crazy and chasing after each other. Well I closed my eyes and I soon realized why they were acting weird. I was woken up by this bright light that was flashing outside my window like a strobe light. The girls signaled me to the window by always going toward that direction. As I looked out the window I noticed two flames being shot across the lawn by my apartment lamp post. Then the girls kept running to the screen where the patio was and Athena kept crying. She stopped as soon as I went out on my patio and as I looked down there was a fire brewing. It really happened I am still shook up about it. It was burning fast and at least I am on the s econd level. But the girls saved me and my home and my neighbors home by letting me know. I ran down stairs and started yelling loudly HELP HELP HELP, FIRE FIRE FIRE!!!!! Then my neighbors came down to help me put the fire out. I called 911 first but when I was waiting on my neighbors the fire was burning up to my knees and getting hirer closer to my apartment so I ran upstairs to try to get Athena and Angel in their carriers to save them. While trying to save them my neighbors were able to control the fire and they put it out with water. The girls are well and healthy. I love them to

I will be sending you some pics soon. I have been very busy I really love the new girls they are great cats.

Despina Damianides

Zeus, pictures submitted by Niki.

Freddie and Ralph having fun!

Here is Jaeger, comfy at home on Dad's lap the first night. The Bostons are getting along fine with him. He loves to be hand fed and have his eyes wiped. He also doesn't mind being brushed and was a perfect gentleman when I cut some mats off his paws.

Thanks!

Kim

Sara-

I wanted to write you and tell you how much we LOVE our newest kitten Chance (now called Posh). She is the princess of the house and has all of my family wrapped around her little paw. She has gotten along splendidly with our dog Otto. Our older cat is less enthusiastic about her presence, but they get along fine.

I've enclosed a photo of her checking out our hamster. Thanks again for you help with adopting Posh.

She is such a special cat. We're so happy she is with us.

Leslie Stuart

Hello Vanessa, [Kyoko] responds to her name and my voice : ). She's not very shy anymore and doesn't hide all the time like she used to. In fact, she's a little chatterbox...LOL.

I also wanted to ask what volunteer opportunities were available with Furkids. I think I might be able to do something a Saturday of each month but please let me know.

I attached a couple of pics of Kyoko! But let me know about the microchip and the vet recommendation.

Thanks Vanessa,

Matt

It went well yesterday. We adopted Dr Doolittle and shortened his name to Dr Dewey. He had a good first night exploring his safe room, and following me around. Our other cat Mina was loitering out in the hall. One day at a time with this introduction. Here are some photos in a zip file.

Thanks for your help in making this new addition to our family.

Hi, Melissa,

I've had Cobb & Sierra Mist one month now, and I just wanted to let you know how great they are! I have re-named Cobb; his new name is Zanzibar.

Dear Kyla,

I just wont to say thanks for my new mama is a great mom and she is spoiling me a lot. I am so glad you told her about me. Her Grandson Grant and I share the Elmo couch together. I get it first lol. Please tell all my friends at the shelter I say hello and I having a great life with my new mom.

Melissa,

I attached some pictures of the boys they are doing great. I love them!

Thanks, Jennifer

Hey there Kyla,

Krista Blue is FABULOUS. Here is a picture of her stretched out on Mark's lap. We love her dearly!

Sincerely,
Brian

Kyla,

We are so thankful to you for helping us find the right addition to our family.

Wyndam is doing great and as you can see below seems to be happy here. He follows Reese and I around like a little dog and comes when you call him. He just hangs out in such a great way with my daughter and her friends. He actually wants to be with the kids!

I just can't thank you enough.

Sincere regards, Renee Ellis

Hi FurKids Family

We wanted to send you some picture of what we look like now and to Thank you do much for helping us find our Mom.

She says that she is going to comeback and help you guys keep the place clean on the weekend, but she just wants us to get a little bigger.

We have changed our names.. Jeremiah aka Moe, and Joshua aka Innie. ...We are not rich kids..Mom still makes us clean our rooms...But sorry you can't see it...we didn't clean it yet!...Shhhh.Don't Tell Mom!!

Hi

We are all doing great. [Shaka] has taken over the house!! Cats really do rule:):) not dogs. She is so funny running through the house ahead of you-her little back head going sideways. I think this was a perfect match and I continually tell people about Furkids. You guys are the greatest.

Anne Modi and Shaka (Mo-Mo)

Hi Beth,

Thought you'd like some recent photo's of Miss Bessie...she is doing really well. She has not had any tummy problems and seems to have made herself at home. She stays with my husband all day while he is working and has discovered the top of his monitor is warm and comfy. She loves to snuggle and take naps with us and enjoys watching Animal Planet...we turned it on one day and left for a little while and when we came back she was sitting on the coffee table staring intently at the TV...it was cute!

She barks like a little dog (like a half meow "meh, meh, meh") when she is talking to us or the birds outside and will gently rub her paw on our hand or arm when she wants us to pet her. Her second favorite place to sit is on a big pillow in front of the window...it's been so nice outside we'll open the window and she just sits and watches the birds and enjoys the sunshine. She's a really sweet little girl and we are so glad she is happy and healthy. Please let her Mom know she is doing good if you get a chance to speak with her...we hope she is doing well and has found a new home and work.

We adopted Champagne on 5-26-07 and I wanted to let everyone there know that we LOVE him! He is the sweetest, friendliest kitten. He already has our dog wrapped around his paw (not to mention us) and is working on our cat. I wanted to thank the staff and especially Kyla and Renee for helping us choose the right kitten for our family. I will send an animal family picture soon. I thought ya'll would like to know that he has gone to a good home and seems very, very happy. Thank you all for the rescue work you do.

Sincerely,
Wendy Schmidt

dear furkids,

just wanted to send you an update on "little man" and "popeye" (now Dylan as in Bob and Jack as in Kerouac). They will be turning one in April and so I thought it would be a good time to send a picture. They are adjusting so well, and it in fact they pretty much rule this house. They are the best kitties, you can tell they were handled with love from their beginnings. I really appreciate your organization giving the newest editions to my family. They are truly a blessing.

thanks again,

Leah Robinson

Kyla,

Good morning! I just wanted to let you know that Ella is doing awesome. She is very friendly and is comfortable with the house… she is totally in control. She still keeps her distance from our dog, but they do know they exist. Attached is a quick picture of her.

Hope all is well and thanks for everything.

Cheers,
The Santa Maria's

Hello Kyla,

Just a quick note to let you know that Mandy, who joins our family as Bella, has adopted us in the last 4 days and is just doing great.

We' ve kept her in our 14- year old 's bedroom and are slowly introducing our other 3 cats to her by bringing them into her room in a carrier. We're glad to report there 's been no hissing or meowing by anyone. Bella 's first day or so was spent under a twin bed, and it appeared she did not eat or drink or relieve herself. We respected her need to acclimate to the new digs and gave her " space." By the second day, she started to come out from under the bed and explore. Bella is very sweet, purrs easily now, and loves to get scratched under her chin. She sleeps ON our daughter' s bed now and has quickly bonded to us. We 're attaching a few photos, which while not very good technically, might give a glimpse of her new home.

Thanks for all you do. We' ll chat again- Ruben and Leslie Helfgot/Taylor

Furkids,

Thank you for helping me find such wonderful cats! Cirrus (Egyptian Mau) is super chatty and Hillary (DSH Black) is super loving. Keep up the great work!

Take care,
--Chris

Hello Kyla, Leigh Ann, and all

I just wanted to write and send this picture of Rufus and Sophie. They love their forever home and we love them even more! They are both happy and loving (often snuggling with us and purring while we watch TV or sleep). Rufus wasn't sure what to think about his little sister and all of her energy, but I think they are both enjoying the 'kitty wrestling' and chasing through the house. They have started to cuddle and clean each other now, too. We love them both so much and are so happy to have them in our lives.

Thank you,
-Melissa and Rob

Hi Thea- I thought you'd like to see how Lewis and Clark (Huey and Louie) are growing up- They are a constant source of amusement!!

hello

i was just thinking about you. I have attached a photo of "Nara" she has 2 friends at her new home - Loki (black cat) and marry poppins (beta fish). both cats drink out of the fish bowl and have a nice relationship with the fish.

thank you for your e-mail

I’ve enclosed a photo of her checking out our hamster. Thanks again for you help with adopting Posh.

She is such a special cat. We’re so happy she is with us.

--Leslie Stuart

Roslyn & Bill Lambert Adopted Chester & Lucy January 19, 2007. Kyla Jones was our Volunteer. This is our photo. Our adoption experience was wonderful as is our precious cats. They were previously owned by Margaret Ratchford and we stay in touch which is invaluable because I am able to know the kitties likes and dislikes. They have completely taken over our household and hearts.

Hi There!

I'll be returning next week( August 6th) to have my little rescue kitten neutered and his nails clipped!! I'm enclosing a picture or two of him with my big old Maine Coon cat, "Bentley"! Aren't they adorable? We named the little one "Buddy", because as you can see, he is Bentley's buddy!!

I will be bringing a check with me for $1000 ( I hope it gets to me in time to BRING... otherwise I'll mail it) as a donation to your wonderful organization!

Thank you! --Laraine Kendall

Hi Kyla,

Tabitha (as she has been renamed - Tabby/Abby sound pretty similar) still has very little use for Aurora (the dog), however, the dog has tried to give the kitty kisses on occasion and does try to play with her - I think Aurora's version of play may be what the cat is averse to. Regardless, there have been no injuries on either side (except for one bloody dog nose) and for the most part Aurora is quick to let Tabitha be when Tabitha rears back and gets ready to rip her nose again.

They will both sit on the sofa with me without too much fuss and I think all in all they're doing okay. The dog doesn't seem to understand why they kitty doesn't like her, but I probably wouldn't like Aurora either if I was 50 pounds lighter than her.

Every once in a while Tabitha will sniff Aurora and show some interest in her that does not involve violence and I think in time it will get better. I am attaching one cute picture fr om Easter so you can see she adapted quickly to her new environment. At least Tabitha has lots of places where she can get away from the dog when need be.

Thanks for checking on us!

[Payslee] is settling into her forever home. It was so hard to take any pictures of her. As soon as you make eye contact she starts moving towards you to be petted. She is tolerating my other cat, Baylee pretty well. She still doesn't like for her to make any sudden movements or come too close. They are seperated at night to ensure safety and preserve my nerves. Payslee has claimed the dining room furniture as her own. She naps in all four chairs and hides under the table base. I think she is enjoying her days...she is very loved.

Meagan & Mandy happy in their new home.

Kyla

Thanks again for choosing us to be Grace's forever family. She is starting to adjust to her new surroundings here at the Lake. Her new brother and sister are slowly warming up to her also. Attached you'l find a picture from our trip to Anna Ruby Falls in north Georgia today. She is quite a good little hiker and enjoyed meeting everyone on the trail both up to the falls and back down. Thanks again for caring enough to keep Grace from a life in a puppy mill!

--Michael

Happy Mothers Day!

Just to let you know the babies are settling in fine. We have decided to keep the name tootles - I had thought about Sandy, but Tootles is much more appropriate for such a vocal, bosterous kitten! Wendy, we have called Amber. I took them to the vets on friday for their second set of shots. Tootles weighed in at 1 lb 10 oz and Amber at a wopping 2 lb 1 oz!!

Hi Leigh Ann,

[Tiki's] doing great. He is such a beautiful cat. We knew enough about FIV to not let it stop us from adoption. And how could you say no to those green eyes. So, for right now he's making use of every couch, comfy chair and bed in our house and we are loving it! It's only been a week and it's like he has always been a part of our family. Thank you for rescueing him from certain demise. He has so much to give and we are very grateful to receive his cuddles and biscuit making!

Take care,

--Kat Lindholm

Hey again Melissa,

I just wanted to show you a pic or two of Peanut and her new family. We had to rename her because Matt's mom's name is Mindy and it was a bit awkward. haha. Here you go... :) The little black one is named Winkie and they are hang out buddies. It is sooo cute! Take care and good luck...

-Betsy

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that Megabit loves his new home. When he got home and we opened the door of the pet carrier he walked all around his room and purred and purred. It was so loud! He rubbed everyone legs and jumped up on the sofa and his paws worked the fabric. He has a very sweet and friendly personality. Here are some photos.

Hi Kyla,

Here are pictures of the 3 boys (Duncan, Rumi & Picasso). Duncan loves his two new little brothers and they all play together all the time. Thank you so much for all your hard work with Furkids and saving the kitties. They have brought so much joy into our lives and we couldn’t imagine life without them.

--Kami & Ben

Hey Melissa,

Just thought I would send an update on Giacomo. He's doing well at our place. He's gained a little bit of weight, he is starting to sleep on the bed with us, he and Hamish play all the time. They're good friends and you can frequently find them wrestling or racing around the house. Giacomo is so comical with the way he engages Hamish and Hamish totally takes the pouncing and the nibbling in stride. Giacomo is a cuddler and a talker (though his voice is not especially pretty) and he has acted like our place was his domain from day 1. He has bonded well with Matt as well as with me and it is very cute to see Giacomo sitting in Matt's lap while he plays on the computer Whenever I am reading a book he takes that as a sign not only to get in my lap but to lay on my book - he's wild. Anyway, that's about it. I attached two cute pictures of Hamish and Giacomo (in case you need reminding, because I know you interact with A LOT of kitties, Giacomo is the grey cat). Thanks again for your help with finding a good companion for us.

All the best,
--Lillie

Tonight Lucy, Ricky (f.k.a. Darla and Spanky -- I went to school with a Darla that I didn't like at all) and I are celebrating our two week anniversary. They are doing amazingly well! I have never had kitties who were so social and friendly. They are very close but include me and all others in their circle of love. Ricky is curious and brave, Lucy is a bit more skiddish, but warms up quickly. She loves to be held and carried, and snuggles at night with the best of them. They scratch on their perch, haven't had any kitty box mistakes and are both facinated with the birds outside. They sit at the windows for hours and wake me in the morning to open the blinds. That will be cuter when I start my new job on the 16th and have to get up anyway!! Thank you Furkids for taking such good care of these babies until we found each other. I am attaching some pictures to show how happy they are!! Warm regards from All three of us!

--Audrey Mash

Hey Leslie!

What a small world! "Zizou" (pronounced "Zee Zoo" (Wilbur's new name)) is doing awesome -- he just got fixed this week, but that hasn't slowed him down one bit. He and my other cat Oscar are now the best of friends (I think Oscar thinks he's Zizou's mom, actually), and he is VERY entertaining, funny and sweet. He's a total snuggle bug (which is not always great when he decides to sleep right on your face or head in the middle of the night, of course, but noone's perfect).

--Kelly Carlos

Kyla,

Reece and Rigby, who were known as Bugs and Daffy at your shelter, are doing great. They are so much fun and provide us with hours of amusement. We are so glad we got them both together - where you find one, you always find the other. Although Reece, the buff tabby, is the lead troublemaker and Rigby tends to follow.

Thanks!!

--Kristy

Dear Kyla,

This is a photo of Chester & Lucy. They have completely taken over "their" household. They usually are turned the other way watching the birds, but that day they were sunning their "other" side! It took them approximately 1 hour to adjust. They love all of our windows and the birds, squirrels; and Chester spotted his first deer yesterday - that was funny. They keep us laughing - Lucy is quite jealous of any attention I give Chester - and Chester could care less! Their personalities are precious. Just had to let you know that Bill and I are in love with them, and they are returning every bit of that affection. Thank you for the incredible service to animals and animal lovers you provide.

Roslyn, Bill, Chester, and Lucy Lambert

These are really the greatest kitties in the entire universe. I'm one of those annoying cat moms that thinks her kitties are the best ever but ours really are. They make us laugh and smile all day long. Ursa (or Brinkley) likes to carry toys around in her mouth like a dog. She has a favorite knit scarf that she drags with her all over the house - up and down flights of stairs. She'll just appear on our bed at night with the scarf in her mouth. It's the cutest thing you've ever seen. Anyway, sorry to make you the captive audience for my cat-fawning! Thank you so much for the work your agency does and for bringing these little girls into our lives!

Natalie & Brian Zeiler

We just wanted you to know what a Fantastic Christmas Gift Sam has become. he's doing well with everyone except Laptop (of course) but the others are starting to play with him. He loves to help me sew -- exactly want I wanted. He loves the fabric, sitting on my lap, playing with anything that MIGHT move. He is such a “people cat”. Follows us around like a little puppy. He is just a joy. Thank you both for all your help and hard work. Warmest Wishes for a Wonderful Christmas and terrific 2007

Jacque

Hi Kyla.

I have worked with many adoption agencies over the years and Furkids is the best. They carefully review the families that request adoption to ensure the cats are going to a safe and healthy environment. Also, I was very impressed that they offer to provide help and advice throughout the cat's life if it gets sick or lost - they are truly commited to helping animals and the people who love them. Their generosity was so contagious that I ended up adopting a whole litter of kittens! Thanks Furkids!!

Hi Thea,

Here in an update and pictures for the kittens we adopted in May. Harley and Logan are growing, they are both very sweet, lovable, and yet stinkers at the same time. They both like to be picked up and carried around the house. They are very spoiled. :-) In July we took them to be spayed/neutered. We expected a few days to recover, never under estimate a kitten. Logan was off and running the next day, it took Harley a little longer to wear off the anesthesia, but by the third day she was off and running too. CCR did a great job. We have two older cats, Thor is 11 he is a cuddly peaceful cat. Maximus is 2 and likes to play with Harley, and then every so often Logan decides to try and take him on. Max is a big cat he weighs around 18 pounds and that is not fat. We think that Logan will more than likely be bigger than Max. I knew Harley would be big for a cat but did not think she would be anywhere near Max and Logan's size. That was my thought until about two months ago and then her paws doubled in size. But no matter how big she gets she is very lovable, and already showing signs that she will be a great lap cat. Logan on the other hand has not quite made up his mind if he is going to be a lap cat or not. Their favorite toy is a laser pointer and that is hilarious to watch. That is the update on our two babies. Below are three pictures taken since we brought them home in May. I hope that you will add us to your success stories. Harley and Logan are a cherished and adored part of our family. We wish you much continued success in finding more homes for all of the cats.

Thank you!
Kelli and Tobin Schroeder

Hi guys!

My "new" addition to the family is not so new, seeing I've had him for months, but I wanted to thank you all so much for all of the work that you do, and for introducing me to the nicest, most loving cat in the world. Smokie has learned to adjust very well to my territorial female cat, Princess, and likes to put her in her place when needed. When they're leaving eachother alone, he always seems to find his way either into the sinks or the bathtub, his favorite places (besides my lap of course). Furkids is a great organization and I am proud of all of the work that you do. THANK YOU!

--Amber Stokes

Hi Kyla!

We just wanted to give you a quick update on Starsky. We have renamed him Feifer (like Michelle Pfeiffer). He has made himself at home very quickly. He follows the girls around wherever they go and likes to sleep on the second floor of their doll house. He and Freya are doing pretty well together. They can now be in the same room together and as long as Freya does not get too close, Feifer is just fine. I have attached some new photos of him for you.

Thanks again for matching us up with this delightful well tempered cat! And thanks for all the work you guys do there at Furkids.

Take care,
Jennifer Dalton

Furkids is celebrating a wonderful home for our beloved, Bear. During the costume contest at our 2nd Annual Walk-Run, Bear was spotted by a great family. It was love at first site and all decided that Bear must join the Nason family! What an incredible ending to a great day of celebrating our animal companions!

Dear Furkids,

Thanks so much for the wonderful work you do. You are truly angels sent from above! Since we lost our beloved Tippy, you helped us find Woody (Sphinx). He is already a big part of our family. He and Buzz, our other kitty, are best buds and love to play tag. I'm attaching a couple of photos. Thanks so much for all your help!

The Bradford Family

Howdy!

We finally have a new addition to the wax family. Her name is Jose (ya know Jose & the pussy cats-Ollie, Sammie and Bennie). Yes, I know that makes 4 for us. She’s 4 months and all black. She's a sweetie, very loving and loves sleep around Michael’s neck as a neck warmer. The boys are still a little distant, not sure what to make of the playful kitty. Sammie is mostly curious and Ollie and Bennie sprint in the opposite direction. Click on view pictures to see the rest of her pictures

Love,
Danielle

JAX is doing great and has been a wonderful addition to my life! I've attached a picture for you... Thanks!!

Lesley

Kyla,

I thought you would like to see Growler on Halloween. Dressing up wasn't really his thing... and, in case you are wondering, it is very hard to put pants on a cat. But doesn't he look cute wearing his witch hat?

Hi Gloria

Wanted to give you some up to date pictures of Harry and Sally. Sally is 11 lbs now and Harry is 8 lbs. They play a lot together and are adjusting well in Colorado . They are now 3 years old-happy and healthy. Can't believe how much they've grown since I got them. Thanks again for trusting them to me. They bring so much joy to my life. Hope everything is going well in Georgia .

Hello Furkids,

I adopted Sasha (now Trixie) in February and she is doing great! She has totally adjusted to her new life and kitty friends and loves people—quite a change from the scared little girl we brought home. She is a great kitty and we love having her in our family!

Take care,
Amelia Fusaro

Hi Sam,
Let me tell you a little about how my kitties are doing. They were known as Ali and Onyx at your shelter, but I have changed their names to Ollie and Stan. Ollie is quite the character. He’s the most friendly, in-your-face cat I’ve ever known. He insists on being in the middle of anything I’m doing (very cat-like, although I’m sure he thinks he’s a human). All my friends are very charmed by him and his antics. On the other hand, Stan is very laid back. He won’t impose himself on anyone, but is happy to accept any attention offered. He’s probably the most perfect cat I’ve had – he never does anything wrong – what a gentleman. Neither of them ever bring their claws out, not even when trying to keep my new puppy from harassing them. The addition of the pup hasn’t made either of them especially happy, but they tolerate her, and she’s learning that they aren’t toys. She’s even quit trying to chase them. Anyway, hope all is well with you and the shelter. Let me know if I can help.
--Anita Edwards

Growler, who I call Owen, was adopted in August to be company for my 6 year old female, Minou! He has wasted no time getting comfortable! He enjoys toy mousies, jumping on Minou from high places, getting into the dryer when no one is looking, tipping over the litterbox, stepping on the keyboard when people are typing, surprising people while they are in the shower, and getting into the open refirgerator! He loves stealing licks of ice cream cones, and curling up with his big sister and taking long cat naps. He has learned the hard way, twice, not to jump on the moving treadmill!!! I think both kitties are very happy and we are all grateful to Furkids, Kyla, Leslie and Sam for making our happy - although chaotic - family possible!!!

New Career for Charlie! Christina Nance, adopter of three Furkids felines, recently shared with us the wonderful story of how Charlie (aka Kobe) spends the second Saturday of each month at the VA Nursing Home. Charlie is accompanied by four outgoing dogs and together their visits really seem to brighten up many of the residents' days (and even some of the nurses and caretakers!). Charlie takes his job as pet therapist seriously but he loves all of the attention too! Way to go, Christina and Charlie! Furkids loves to hear how our adoptees are doing in their new homes. Please submit your stories and pictures to info@furkids.org for our Happy Beginnings webpage!

IT'S GOING TERRIFIC!
I've been wanting to write you today and let you know all about it. Everything is great and he's such a sweetie. Very cuddly and calm. The treasure hunting ad venture on Sat I think was very well liked! I'll send a couple of pictures. :-)
Thanks!
--Carl
Furkids celebrates all of our FIV+ cats and wish more people would open their hearts, minds and homes to these wonderful cats. They DO NOT need to be euthanized because they test positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. Here is a wonderful update from the family that adopted Buddy.

Sam,
I downloaded all my pictures from this summer. I got these shots a few weeks ago. Proof there's toleration on both sides. We love that cat.

Hello.
I adopted BOB at the Smyrma PetSmart on July 22. He is getting along very well! He spends most of his time exploring the house. And he is getting along with my other cat…that was my biggest concern. In fact, the two of them chase each other a lot. My other cat seems like a kitten once again.
Thank-you Heather and Thea at FurKids. And a big thanks to the volunteers who come to PetSmart and pet the animals…through their efforts I have a well adjusted loving cat!
-- Mark Hylbak
Hi Furkids,
Thought you may like to see some recent pictures of Squirt. He is a very sweet kitty and all the kids get along really well! What ever happened to Bob his brother? We are getting him neutered on Friday. Be well,

Hi Melissa,
I just wanted to update you on how little Miss Callie, she now goes by Cookie , is doing. She is as happy as she can be and her boyfriend, Duncan, and her couldn't love each other more! As you can see from the pics, she never grew to be a big cat and she looks pretty much the same. She is spoiled rotten! Her little mews let you know when it is dinner time and if you stop playing her favorite game of chase the string, she talks to you until you start again. I love the little girl even the love licks to the eyes when it is time for me to wake up in the morning. She sleeps on my chest or on my pillow next to my head and as soon as my alarm goes off, she lets me know!

This was taken at my desk. She loves to look at me, upside down, while I type on the computer.

She is doing great and I'm very lucky to have found her and your organization!

Warmest Regards,
-- Leslie Szczecko

Hi Sam,
Princeton is doing just great, loves running around at full speed. Also loves playing with my oldest cat's (14 yr old) tail! I'm attaching a photo of him looking out one of my windows at the birds and squirrels.
--Candis
Hi Sam,
Thought you might like to see pictures of Huckleberry. She looks like she’s doing well to me! Karl has been looking for a Bassett hound and was glad that Bob remembered him when she became available. He was in love when he saw her picture and we know he will give her a great home.
--Lisa
Hi Sam,
I just wanted to send you a photo of my girls - Mia Joy (formerly Patches) and Emmylou (the calico formerly Meena). I call their favorite past time "The mysterious tail of Mia Joy" - Mia lays under the rug and Emmy gets her tail. Emmy's other favorite game is "fetch". Mia loves romaine lettuce. They are such good girls and make me smile everyday. Thank you for all that you do for kities that need a loving home!
--Cheryl Hagedorn
I got one of my boys from you all , Dusty ! He's the best! His name is Smooches now. When I met him he just kissed all over my face, so the name had to be Smooches! Puds I found in my parking deck at work. They are both the sweetest boys. Here's a pic of the two of them. LOL... I'm like the proud parent... hehehhee

Hi Leslie,

Thank you, we will do that. The Devine one "Andria Ophra" is becomming much more friendly and will jump into my lap - especially if she thinks treats are forthcoming. The Lovely Anjou (We found out it is not a French boy or girls name but rather a region in France) however; if Paris Hilton works as a name why not "Anjou". I met a woman yesterday named Raisin so I guess a name can be about anything. Anjou also will jump into a lap, more often than Andria, but she also prefers if there are treats. Your little Neomi (Our wild Skidgit) still runs and is frightened easily but loves Louan and if you catch her she is fine for a little while. She is getting FAT and does not refuse any food or treat. We were hoping she would get over that. The old guy "Magellan" and the little guy "Midnight Louie" have gotten used to all the girls. The last file is a powerpoint cat picture set you might enjoy.--

Thanks Kathryn

Hi girls, Some of you asked me to send recent pictures of Teagan, so here they are. She is still so perfect and has a face that will make you melt. Teagan has grown into a pretty full figured girl…she is now 40lbs at 5 months.

Just wanted to send you some new pics of the kittens we adopted from your organization. They are quite playful and the love their home :) Hope you both are doing well!

--Jody Williams

Hi Sam,
I've been thinking of you! Chester, Simon and Lucy send their regards!
All the best,

Well, the kids seem to be getting along better each day - Pookie has actually been down on the ground today and participating a little with the teasers.... progress... I love Foxie! Pookie too!

Hi,
I recently adopted a dog named Laddie (about 2 weeks ago). He's wonderful and we love his companionship! Thank you! I've attached a picture of him (blonde dog on the right) with our dog Ruby. Thanks,

Hello!
I've been meaning to do this forever, but I wanted to send some pictures of our wonderful kitties, Niku and Toast (formerly known as "Chit and Chat") that we adopted from your site. Thank you SO, SO MUCH! We plan on coming to your fundraiser and we appreciate everything you did with helping get them both healthy after we adopted them. They're doing great now! (I love the surly look Niku gets now, since he only has the one tooth on his right, that sticks out!) They are the most perfect kitties in the whole world; we can't believe how lucky we are. Thanks for making our house a happier place,

Hi Leslie and others,
It was such a pleasure meeting you on Saturday. I'm just writing to give you a brief update on our girl Sandy. She does answer to Sandy, by the way, so I think I will continue to call her that! She is settling in just fine. She is a wonderful kitty! No worries about her being shy or timid. She was a little wary of me the first 2 hours, not enough to actually hide, but to peek around the corner at me while she was checking me out. What a funny girl. After that, she decided she was ready to play. Although she likes the toys I bought for her (she REALLY likes the floor scratcher with the ball, and she can't resist anything with that delicious Cosmo Cat Nip on it, thanks for that suggestion too!), she loves chasing after a little stress ball that she found of mine, and my pony tail holders. She gets plenty of exercise doing laps around the apartment playing hide and seek. She also enjoys night time and morning cuddles while curling up in a comforter (literally). She is a bed lap kitty, as opposed to any other place, although she prefers to just prop her head up on my leg while laying on her back while I'm reading. You couldn't have made a better match! Thanks again, and come visit us any time!
--Krystal Hodge and Miss Sandy
Hi Sam,
kitties ( allegro and vivace) are doing fine. they are playful (sometimes too much) as always but very affectionate. i'm happy that i adopted them. i have attached some pictures of Allegro and Vivace ( either with me, or with my older cat Pico or with my housemate's dog Nikki ). Thanks,

Dear Furkids,
Charlie, formally known as Pedro, is such a sweetheart! He has made himself at home from day one. Charlie has a new friend, Roxy, and they love each other. I am so happy to have two new kitties in my life and wanted to thank you for what you do.
--Jennifer Tribble
Hi Sam,
Here is a new picture of Keegan in his favorite spot in front of the window that overlooks the lake. The other picture is of he and Chloe looking out the window together.

Hi,
I just wanted to write and say how happy we are with our beautiful cat, Michelle (formerly Egypt). We adopted her in October, 2004 and she has been a great cat ever since. You can see in the picture she is quite relaxed and happy. She enjoys watching the birds and squirrels that come up to our balcony to feed and loves to chase anything that moves, including our feet! Thank you so much for matching us up with Michelle, she is a wonderful addition to our lives.
--Carina
Hi Sam,
Want to check in with you and let you know that Ivan is doing very well and seems happy in his new home. Thank you!
--Beth Minor
Hey Everyone,
Please welcome the newest member of our family! She just moved in tonight and is already right at home. She's a year and a half and is a rescue kitty. Her mean old parents left her to fend for herself when they moved. She is a big lovergirl and already loves hanging out with her mama (that's me!). You can see she's already very comfortable on her Miami Dolphins blanket. Gotta break her in early! ;-)
--Amy
As you can see Casey still is on top of most things and Ranger still the loving brother! Have a great holiday and tell Sam for us we are so happy with these two!
Best Wishes,
--Cindy, Ray, Kevin, Ryan, Casey & Ranger Lentz
I am sending you an updated picture of Meisha that a friend of mine took on her digital camera. I wanted to bring you up to date on Meisha. She has come along way since March, 2003. I am able to brush her a little bit now , also she has become a lap kitty. At night she likes to wake me up in the middle of the night and then go do her thing. We have play time and she has this elastic ribbon string that I introduced to her when I got her, so now in the middle of the night I will find that string in my bedroom when I wake up.(Like she is telling me she wants to play). She still scratches on doors and walls like she is trying to get out. Also, can she jump I will see her jump up against doors or walls like she is playing with something. She still uses her scratching post like she has claws. Meisha still will not eat canned cat food, she is finicky on her cat treats. When I am eating at my favorite place the coffee table in front of the TV she will come and inspect on what I am eating and sometimes she wants a sample but doesn't eat it. Meisha is very friendly to my friends that visit, but when it comes to my other cats that stay outside she still will not be nice to them. She has her windows watching the birds and whatever else that goes on outside. I hope you are doing well. Take care. --Peggy and Meisha
Sam,
I just wanted to thank you and your organization for helping to find my child a cat for Christmas. I know that Kelsey (my 7 year old daughter) will be thrilled with Casey! All of your staff were exceptionally nice and helpful in the decision making process. Thea went out of her way to meet me at PetsMart to show me the cat. I really appreciated it. Again, thank you for all of your help and for the great job you are doing saving these animals!
Most sincerely,
Eric Blevins
Hi all at Furkids--
Sorry it has taken me so long to send you a picture of my kitten (previously known as "Four"- now called "LUCY") She's adjusting great to her brother Riley (my 6 year old) and now they are the best of friends. They sleep together every night and often bathe each other; of course they are always playing together. Lucy loves water and I will sometimes come home to find one of her toys floating in the water bowl. She will also drop her toys in the bathtub when I'm taking a bath. In fact, this morning while I was taking a shower, she jumped in! So, of course, one of her favorite spots in the house is the bathroom sink. I've attached a picture of her lounging the sink. Enjoy!
Thank you so much (and Riley thanks you more!) for this wonderful addition to our family. Just curious . . . have her littermates been adopted yet? Thanks again,
--Jessica Page
Hi,
It's been a few months since I brought Logan home and I wanted to give you an update. It took a while, but he and Pumpkin (also a furkids adoptee) are finally getting along great. They are both so loving and playful, chasing each other all over the house then curling up next to me for a good nap. Thank you Furkids for helping me find my two wonderful cats!
--Christina Nance
Leslie,
I thought you may like to see these...Spike has made himself at home here :) Him and Sadie love to play together, and she lets him know she is the dominate one! I had surgery yesterday, and they have been so sweet. I hope you are doing well. Take care,
--Kim
Dear Furkids,
It has been one week and we are becoming fast friends. These are the very first pictures and we will send more as we progress. Thank you for bringing us together!
-Nancy and Sophia Howard
Would you look at this? Not even into 24 hours yet, and he's really just blossomed out! SO affectionate and he's doing really great in the house. Other than the occasional hissing, he and Portia are getting along fine, and I've let him out because he's just having a bundle of fun exploring the house. Thank you so much for recommending him - I don't think I could have found a better cat!
- Cyndi
Just wanted to send you a photo of Boots (now generally referred to as T.K., The Dude or many variations thereon), and let you know how he's doing. I hope you can add him to your adoption stories section, since he has been a smashing success. We've had him for almost two months now, and as you can probably guess from the photo, he's settled in like he's always been here. He's a very mellow but sociable kitty who likes to follow us around the house and then flop down companionably wherever we settle, within petting range; you really can't close a door on him, as he'll just sit on the other side and make a fuss about being left out, until you let him through! He's very polite towards our old cat Moby, who's still full of ambivalence about the new guy, but I think she's getting more used to him by the day. He's happy and healthy and, to top it all off, has turned into a surprisingly talkative kitty. When he first got here he was very quiet, but since he's settled in he's developed a remarkable vocabulary of meows, grunts, trills and what can only be described as "rrr" noises. He even talks in his sleep!

So things are going wonderfully. We are very fortunate to have the Dude around, presiding over the household (at least in his own mind), and are very grateful to FurKids for getting us together!

--Kate and Ted
Hello Furkids,

Here is a snapshot of our two cats Sammy (the adult) and Joey (the kitten). I took this shot on a lazy Winter afternoon on our bed.
Both cats were dozing in the afternoon sunlight and then woke up just as I got the camera out.

They are both Furkids and we love them sooooooooooooo much!

Glen & Sheree Colton
Hello Everybody,

I want to share with you pictures of Morry, our St Bernard mix puppy. He came into our lives on February 29 thru a set of complicated circumstances. He weighed 17 lbs then. As you can see from the pictures, he was a pitiful creature but with lots of spirit and true joy-of-life. He was plagued by mange, a secondary skin infection, malnutrition, and dehydration. The woman who found himSusan Gomez, bathed him three times during the first day. A week later when he came to us, he still smelled like a sewage treatment plant. We really don't know how he got to be a stray, though I am convinced that he did belong to someone because he was house-trained.

Anyway, he has been wonderful dog. He is sweet natured, not too destructive, smart, a good cuddler, and a loves going for rides. When he was still sick, our vet said that he is "handsome in a scruffy sort of way". Part of the "Morry Miracle" was that while Tye was alive, she played with him. Those images still bring tears. Robert and i named him "Amore" (love in Italian) and we use both names interchangeably.

Scarlet, who just celebrated her tenth birthday, is not too happy with the gender imbalance in the family. Romeo, at 24 lbs., intimidates Morry who is also afraid of strangers and bicycles.

I am doing okay, recovering slowly, gaining strength, losing weight, and trying to learn how to please my digestive track.

With Love and a smile,

Havi

I was so good to talk to you today and to hear that many more families are having the opportunity to welcome precious kitties into their homes because of the work and love that you have. Thank you again for our boys.

We adopted Black Beauty (now named Tess) on Saturday and wanted to let you know that she is doing well and adjusting to her home. She is so sweet and loving and a joy to have around. Thanks for rescuing her!

Wendy St. Denis

Furkids,

My husband and I adopted Gina & Joey in March from the Dunwoody Pets Mart. We just love them and they have adjusted so well to our home. We installed a cat door so that they can go out on the sun porch and lounge in the sun and they love that.

I was so pleased to receive the medical records and the pictures of them when they were small kittens. I just thought that you would enjoy seeing how well they are doing and maybe pass them on to the foster mother. We are so grateful for your organization and for the wonderful care they received in the foster mom's home.

God Bless,

Hi,

I just wanted to let you all know what a treasure this kitty is! She is still young enough to have a lot of kitten in her and she keeps me laughing all day. She is in to everything and worse than a 3 yr. old child. When she's not playing, during the day she sleeps next to my keyboard, sometimes putting her head on the keyboard which causes spelling problems. She also likes belly rubs now. When I play with her with my hand and she bites and kicks she never uses her claws and bites very gently and does not get too excited and bite too hard like most cats; she has a very gentle nature, but she is full of the dickens. She tears through the house from one end to the other and is wearing most of her claws down to the point that I don't even have to trim them. I got her a cardboard scratching station, but it does not work well here since we have all hardwoods and ceramic tile floors...it just slides around. She has used our previous cat's scratching post a few times, though, so I think the next step will be to try one of those "cat houses" since she likes to be up high.

She seems to have adjusted to our home very well...although she still does not like to sit on our lap, she will lay on top of me when I am in bed sometimes, but usually is down by my feet. She likes to be close but not held, so I take her for short walks around the house once or twice a day to get her used to it. I think this is just a matter of developing trust. She has calmed down somewhat, but I think she misses the other animals as she calls very loudly sometimes, but thank goodness no longer at night. She seems to have practically no attention span and probably has the feline version of ADS or whatever it's called. After a few months when she is totally comfortable in her new home and with us, I will take her to our vet and have blood work done to make sure her thyroid is not overactive.

My husband is disappointed that she does not come and sit on his lap like our previous cat did, but I told him, "Be careful what you wish for. As time passes and she mellows out, she will be on you all the time." I think it is very hard for him to get over losing our cat.

She is eating and drinking well and seems very happy.

I will continue to update you of important events as time goes by. Please forward this to Susan, as I don't have anyone's email address.

Regards,
Myrna

Gloria

We just couldn't resist sending you more than 1 picture of Miss Kate. We absolutely adore her and her brother, Booty, who is also a Fur Kids adoptee.

Thanks for letting us bring her into our family.

Sam:

Just wanted to send along a photo of "Teddy" who I adopted last week from the Perimeter PetSmart. He and my female Maine Coone, Abbey, are doing just fine!

Thanks for all the effort and heart that you and your staff put into making your organization work.

Hi Guys,
Meet my new kitty Bentley age 8 months. Not getting much sleep these days, because he wants to be petted all night long. Micki has her nose out of joint, but she is hissing less each day.

Barb

Hi! My name is Julie Strickland and I adopted a loving boy cat from Furkids a couple of months ago. I'm just writing to let you guys know how happy we are and how he is getting along.

Zaffo (or the cat formerly known as Polk Dot) is doing great. He's quite the lover-boy and our little girl Lucy Fur fell in love with him, although it took a couple of weeks.

The two of them love to sleep together and lick each other. The rest of the time they use their alter egos Danger Cat and Destructo Kitty and they run through the house like a whirlwind, jumping and wrestling. Corey and I don't know what we'd do without them. Here are some pictures I caught of him. I can

Hi, Gloria, Sorry I haven't been in touch sooner. I had misplaced your email and then recently came across it. I just wanted to let you know that Cubby and Pandora are just doing great. Pandora is such a little princess, so dainty and has really become more social and loving (more so than Cubby!!). And that Cubby is such a little trouble maker. ;) he gets into everything i leave out. he tore open a cereal box and fought me for a turkey burger!! got to keep my eyes on that one!! But I love them both and we're all getting along wonderfully. My friend that was with me that night I got them wants to get a cat for her grandmother, so she will be contacting you soon, her name is Jayme Christianson. Hope all is well with you. ;)

Gloria,

After long wait, I thought we'd send you some cute pictures of our latest family members. Dugan and Colleen have been purrfect for us! They love Emma so much and are so patient with her.

We are blessed to have them.

Allen

Sam,

Wanted to send you some recent pictures of Prince. He's very happy and making good progress with his sister, Kiwi. They are playing alot, but Kiwi gets pissed sometimes because her brother always wins the fight. Although Prince is twice the size of his sister, he always plays gentle with Kiwi. They share the bed and the couch. Prince used to try very hard to get out the door, but with repeated failures, he has given up on the outside world except for the view from the window. He still gets scared whenever someone new comes and visit him and would hide under the curtains. He's gotten used to having Paul, my boyfriend around, though.

Since adopting him, I've discovered that he is a lap cat, loves to get belly rubs, a purr machine, and VERY VERY AFFECTIONATE. He and Kiwi are not yet cuddle buddies, but I'm sure it will be just a matter of time. He follows me everywhere and talks to me all the time. I don't really know what he tries to tell me, but everytime he will lead me to his food bowl and make me watch him eat.

-Wen

Miss Chelsea's paperwork arrived and I'm happy to tell you that she is working out really well. She's on my lap right now. She prefers to lay on my chest, however, when I'm watching TV. She's kind of a cat scarf.

Romeo and her do cat aerobics in the loft and on the stairs at odd hours of the night and early morning. I still have the furniture covered but she's just about got the idea about what she can scratch and what she can't. I think I'll be able to remove the covers in the next month or so.

She's put on some weight. I think I'm going to have to put her and Romeo on the "light" catfood for a bit.

Chelsea likes to sleep on TOP of me. Romeo is the lump next to me. Chelsea is the lump on TOP of me. I always feel loved.

I'm glad to get her paperwork as I want to take her to the vet for a check up in the next month or two.

She's a real blessing to me and I'm pretty sure Romeo likes her too.

Contact me anytime and I'll be happy to give you an update on her.

Ann Ward

Greetings!

I am just writing to let you know the status of the white/grey w/spots kitten we adopted from your FurKids location at the Perimeter PetSmart.

After a few rocky days with our older female cat, "Tobey" (our new addition) blended right in! This morning marks exactly one week, and you'd think the two of them had known each other for a lifetime. There is still a little growling and hissing from our 4-yr old Audrey, but I think she's finally realized that Tobey isn't going anywhere, and there actually IS enough love for them both! ;-)

Thanks for allowing us to adopt this special new kitten. He truly is a "Little Rascal".... but we all love him anyway!

Here are my two favorite shots... one of Tobey alone, and the second playing with sister Audrey. I think he's going to be bigger than her soon! (Especially since he doesn't want to stay out of her food! ;-)

Warm regards, Stephanie Griffin

Happy New Year Sam,

Just wanted to let you know what was going on with GiGi. She seldom hisses any more and seems to be much more trusting. I think it was a matter of time and a real decision by me that I was going to "love this cat sooooo much" that she would realize how foolish she was being. We seem to be getting along very well - the fact that she understands English is very helpful.

I wish you the best for the New Year!

Mary Marvin
Hi, Sam! This is Brian Shim -- I adopted Evie and Nathan from you two years ago. I received a postcard and newsletter from Furkids, and though it took me some time to compile them, I'm sending some photos of the two little ones I adopted a year and a half ago.

I may be moving again in a few months, so I'll keep you posted on my contact info. I'd love to stay in touch with you and your organization! I still stop by your Petsmart station whenever I buy food and toys for the little ones. I'll try and borrow a digital camera and take some more recent photos, and I'll be sure to forward them on to you. For now, I hope these will do, and I hope you get the same wonderful feeling I get when I know I adopted both of these guys together. They are so good together, and I wouldn't have separated them for the world.

I also want you to know that they're happy and well taken care of. In fact, I think I may spoil them a bit :). I've gotten them toys, cat trees, and a great pet fountain that filters their water and keeps it running.

Thanks again for the wonderful work that you're doing. I couldn't imagine my life without these guys. Take care, and I wish you all the best with your work.

Warmest regards,

Brian Shim

I don't know if you remember Romeo, but we adopted him from Furkids in April 2003 from Petsmart Perimeter. He was an all black kitty with one white whisker and the loveliest (funniest) personality. A skinny little thing when we got him, he's definitely made up for it in the intervening months, he just loves food! He's grown to be a beautiful big kitty just as we suspected, althought he's lost his white whisker. He's got a wonderful bumbling personality..he loves boxes, and has this odd love for plastic, he hears plastic rustling and comes running - not even peskering our other kitty can keep his attention through plastic rustles :-) We're just always certain he won't hurt himself from it. Unfortunately as he's gained in size he's also become a bully to our original kitty (she's a petite elderly cat) - so they are still not getting along, but we're hoping they'll work through their problems. We have hope in both of them.

I'm sending two pictures of Romeo for your archives, I know you like to keep updates on successful adoptions. We love our little brat and are very happy he's in our lives. One picture is of him lounging on the couch, the other is of his fascination with "big bird" our neighborhood's wild turkey. He just doesn't know what to make of a bird THAT much bigger than he is. Anyway, he's doing fine..thanks for bringing him into our lives!

Sincerely,
Ayla & Brent
In May 2003, a month after we lost a long-time feline love, I met "Pretty Girl" and Samantha Shelton at Perimeter PetSmart. I immediately was taken with Pretty Girl and really impressed with Samantha Shelton. Long story somewhat shorter....I applied to adopt PG and received word the next day that I had been approved. When I got her home, I told my husband Bill about Ms. Shelton and he said, "You know, this kittie looks like a 'Samantha'...let's call her that." So we renamed her in honor of Sam Shelton and she goes by, variously, Samantha, 'Mantha, Mancie-Pants (she looks as if she's wearing pantaloons!), Missie Priss and of course, she's still a "Pretty Girl."

By the way, she immediately claimed Bill as her "daddy," and she and our other old kittie have made tremendous progress in getting together, though they are not yet snuggle buddies.

At any rate, thanks to all you do to help the unwanted kitties in the metro area...it's a wonderful thing and we appreciate everyone involved.

Sincerely, Beverly Littlefield

Hello,

I recently adopted 3 wonderfully precious little kittens, Rough, Tumble, and Romeo (Giggle). I'm a Furkids volunteer. My 3 kittens are the best kittens in the whole world. I can't believe how sweet they are. They are sooo much fun.

Linden Vann
Hi Gloria and Sam,

Here are the girls. They are quite fascinated withthe tree, and after a few close calls the first coupleof days (we caught them sitting on the branches likeornaments) they seemed to have gotten over their fascination with it. They do enjoy sitting on the velvet tree skirt, however.

You should have no worry whatsoever about how they have adjusted. I feel like we've had them forever. They are the sweetest cats you could ask for. Grace is quite regal and poised, but loves to be held all the time. Callie is not the lap cat type, but is very sweet and loves to follow me around the house. She and Grace played together a lot when they were little, but although Callie's always up for play, now Grace has got to be in the mood. She's way too dignified for most of that anymore.

They are terrific with the kids and we just love them so much!!

I hope you are both doing well. Thanks for all you did in helping us find our precious kitties!

Sandra

Hi Samantha,
Here are Brownie (with Jamie) and Tator Tot (with Terra). The four girls get along great! Thanks for letting us adopt them. We are giving them a loving home. These are GREAT CATS! Jennifer Freking
Dear Sam,

Luba, formerly Packard, has moved to Florida. She turned out to be an adorable lap cat! She loves our food specially pies and chicken and she still plays with the dogs. She is extremely well behaved, and enjoys laying in the sun. I have taken some pictures but have not developed the film yet. I will send photos as soon as I do that.

Jenny Barnette
Remember me? I'm Mr. Cool! Six months ago, I was adopted into my forever home. Bet you've never seen me so relaxed! That's because I know that for the rest of my life I will be safe, pampered and loved. Thank you, Furkids!!
Sam, here is a recent picture of Booty. aka moustachio, catso, and purmacheen just to name a few. He has been a great inside cat enjoying his milk tabs and rubber bands. We are still trying to get him used to us picking him up and getting him to get on our laps has been unsuccessful. We love him so none the less. All vet visits have been good also. Hilary and Corny
Dear Friends,
I have to tell you how happy we are to find your organization. We adopted the BEST cat EVER!!!!!!!! His name was Harley when he was with you, and he is now SAMMY. He has been with us for over a year and he lives with his 2 feline sisters, Misha & Rambi and his 2 canine siblings, BeBe & Bandit. We work out of our home and he is never out of our sight. He follows us everywhere. Thank you for giving him such a fine home before we found him.

Glen & Sheree Colton

Hi Sam and Tuyet! I've had a break in a busy day and wanted to send along an update on the group and to let you know that most of the time all is peaceful! As you know, I welcomed Sebastian (the Manx Daddy Cat that Gloria had taken in earlier) into the fold back in August. It seems he and the "kids" get along ok, however, Patches has NOT forgotten that he was absent from the family for many months (I've explained to her that he didn't run off and leave the family for a younger kittie, the decision was made FOR him and he's sorry) so they hiss and growl at each other when one or the other's space is invaded. So far, no serious problems. Their (our) favorite time is almost every evening when they jump and chase the feather on the string/stick each nite and I've watched them during the day enjoy "chasing" the birds and the chipmunks from window to window! I know it certainly makes me smile! It's not a great picture (view at 50%), but I've attached one of 4 of the 6 kitties chillin' after some play with the catnip toy - Shadow is on the arm of the sofa on the left, Patches is on the sofa on the right, Cinder is on top of the catnip toy soaking in the "nip", and Tasha has just finished her turn! I'll get better with pictures and send some another time.

You'll love this, I've had email correspondence from Al Faunce, the previous owner, and it sounds like he misses them. Too bad huh? He did send me a video he made of them just after Patches gave birth...so cute! and I really appreciated him doing that. He wants to see pictures so I'll probably share some of those I've taken with him. Appears that he's a canine pal - seems there are 5 or 6 little "yip-yappy" pups in some pictures he sent, and interestingly enough, he even sent pictures of the new wife with allergies and in other pictures, there are 4 or 5 other cats!! (He's about 65 yrs
old!)

OK, enough for now! I got your newsletter on Saturday and am glad that you continue to build the rescue. I will donate soon - bear with me! What ya'll do is so wonderful for these helpless little lives! Thanks so much! Kitty (If it's ok, I'll keep in touch by email now and then.) Hugs!

Hello,

We got your newsletter and you'd asked for pictures of adopted cats. I am attaching a couple of Sarah. We adopted Sarah a month after our 17-year-old cat passed away. We still miss her, but Sarah has brought us such joy. We can't imagine life without her.

Andy & Geneen Boyd

Hi Sam,
Thanks for your post-card about Olivia ('Livvie', formerly 'Itsy'). Im glad to finally know that you got the photos I sent a long time ago.

I would like you to know that adopting Livvy was one of the best decisions I have ever made. She is truly a lovely creature, with the most outgoing, loving, and energetic personality. She loves to be the center of attention. Once we had a party at our house, and, while Ollie hid in the closet, she was laying in the middle of the floor, happy to be absolutely involved, surrounded by ten + boisterous people with clumsy feet!!!

She and I have formed a very tight bond, which still grows daily. We have many rituals together. For example, she LOVES to be held, especially when Im trying to do something else, like brush my teeth or sit on the pot in the bathroom. We have special games we play with her toy mice, and she sleeps on top of me every night.

She has also developed a unique friendship with Ollie, our other cat, who is 6 months younger than her, but 50% bigger than she is. In a nutshell, they love to wrestle and chase each other, and seem to have worked out a balance in dominance: he being bigger, but she being more feisty and with a more dominating personality - she never lets him beat her up too badly.

My husband, Andreas, who you met the day of the adoption, has officially been converted into a cat-lover, and is extremely fond of both of our furry friends. Also, we have nice neighbors to care for them while we are occasionally out of town. And, maybe you can tell from the photos, but our home is extremely cat-friendly, with loads of windows with views into the wilderness and birdfeeders, and with many, many hidey-holes, cat trees (all built by Yours Truly, from scratch....pun intended), heated beds, and floor-to-ceiling scratching posts. Our kitties are very, very spoiled.

Livvie has been an angel to keep for the last year, and I know she will continue to be a blessing to us for many years to come. Many Thanks to your kind efforts to keep our feline friends healthy and happy!!!

Purrs from Livvie!! and THANKS from Robin & Andreas!!!

Sincerely,
Robin Puppa

Can't believe it's been a year since Bailey came to live with us. She gets along well with all the other cats and especially enjoys playing chase and wrestling with her brothers Luke and Cody. She also likes to have a snack bowl of dry catfood and a cup of water put in the hallway for overnight indulgence. We love her very much! Thanks for letting us be the ones to adopt her!
p.s. She weighs 12 pounds now and is gorgeous.
Jim and Helen
To Whom it may concern,

Thanks for the card. Harry & Spencer are grown and wonderful pets for our little girls.

Thanks, Warren
